Social Superstructures
Wanling asked me for some opinions for her ISM paper. And it was at this instance that I realized that I'm still quite passionate about sociology.
Perhaps, it's the lack of it that somehow makes me feel repressed.
Sociology is depressing sometimes, confusing at other times and yet enlightening for most times. We all grow up in social superstructures placed in all aspects of our lives. Then doing soci in NUS have everything that mattered to me deconstructed and now I enter society to work, I must reconcile with the social superstructures that social reality has.
It is a constant struggle as I examine my personal pedagogy in my job as opposed to the intended outcome imposed by superstructures.
