Does God exist?

Sining asked me via sms that day that how issit that I can be a soci major (shared) and believe in God at the same time...

Do we even know the 4th diamension aka spiritual dimension exist? So let's explore this possibility by virtues of sciences and logic:

I am sure a lot of us learnt basic differentiation, so let's go!

The differential of an equation can also be identified as the rate of change, e.g. rate of change of speed (velocity) thus giving you dV/dT = acceleration.

So let's start from the basic: given a 2 dimensional equation, y = 2x defined as a line graphically, the differential of y gives you X, a precise spot graphically (1 dimensional).

Let's go 1 more step: given a plane (3d) equatio, y = x^2 + x, defined as a plane graphically, the differential of that gives u, 2x + 1, a linear 2 diamensional equation.

Base on this, we can infer that we existing in the sphere of reality being the 3rd dimensional world must therefore be the rate of change of the 4th dimension. Hence, at least in the mathematical sense, the 4th dimension exists.

Ok, going philosophical, using some points from Renes Descartes, how did we actually gain the knowledge that 1 + 1 = 2? Was it a mere invention of human or the works of the devil to deceive us or the works of God to provide the information. How did human gain the knowlegde of having and building such advance technology? How did man come to be the dominant species acquiring skills to conquer and tame the less dominant species?

Sociologically, Marx said that religion will pass away but now that marx has passed away, religion thrives even more strongly.

When God created the world, there's more than enough supplies to sustain us. When the world was groaning about oil running out, they discovered a new source in the 90s that can last us several more decades. If you tally the amount of food wasted in the world, yes you can feed the world and have leftovers. Is it then that God did not provide enough or the distrust and mismanagement of men?
