The C.R.O.S.S

My body sent the signal earlier...

When I was running, my body reminded me "Hey Bob! U r no longer 18 u know.. u r like 23?" Gosh, how I felt the strain on my legs... it was as though someone is pulling me back as I run...

But I luv running the route I run...

I know my weakness and I can estimate approximately at about certain distance, I will feel like giving up, tat's why I took the route I took...

Juz as I am tired and wanting to give up, I will see the bright blue cross about 800 metres in front of me and I will tell myself: Run for the Cross! And tat's why I always manage to complete my run, my race... Run for the Cross! As I ran passed the church, I saw this message

"Heaven - Do not miss it for the World!"

Then I got reminded of people I know who believes or at least used to believe in God, attending Church, experiencing his pressence, filled with his anoiting but today, they have chose to give it all up for various reasons... and most of them, sadly to say... for the world (the flesh).

I know a girl who was so 'up' there for the Lord, but when her beau backslided from God, slowly she drew away...

Tdy, she is no longer in Church... it is sad how one chooses someone who's love aint definite over the Lord who is every loving...

There r those who chose the secular life over God...

It is sad... but wad can anyone of us do? Nothing but to pray... It is much harder to reach out to these pple then to those who have nvr been Christian...

WHY?

B'coz these pple have experienced God and know God but yet chose to reject him... There r 2 kinds of sins: The Sin of Commission and the Sin of Ommission... and the latter is a greater sin...

Sin of Commission : To sin by doing wad's wrong...

Sin of Ommission : To sin by not doing what is right, despite knowing the truth or wad's right...

The bible says in Hebrews that there shall come a time when pple despite having receive knowledge of truth and yet reject it, shall have no room for sacrifice...

As I ran thru the paths, it struck me : Do not take the Grace of God for granted because one day, God is going to flee from those who have rejected him... The bible says men shall seek me (God) but I shall hide away from them...

If God truly hides away from men, how can men then find him?

And the race towards the cross aint easy...

Tat's why millions have died for it...

Tat's why I put a dot after every alphabet to signify the obstacles...

Tat's why God has to sent his only begotten son to pay for our sins...

Bob's thinking now...

CaMpS cAmPs cAMpS!

This is going to be a long long post...

This has been a super tiring week jammed packed with activities that literally taken every ounce of energy... But it has been fun .. oh well, at least most of the time...

Monday-Tuesday, I went for Arts Pre-Camp. It was cool and this time round, I will the house I/C for the Hse of Trottus, yea... derivation from Trotters but oh well, it's a camp anyway, so it's all abt having fun! Despite the counsellors turn out for my camp were relatively small, we had fun less a little hippcups here and there... But of coz, I had a little problems here n there but I guess, it aint anything major...

Wed, I went for seasports camp... was kinda late but it was alright ice-breaker... And it was cool, I was in Kenneth's grp (grp B). First day was kinda slow as we warmed up to each other.. got to know that Leon and Hanwei were actually students of my uncle in Mech. Engr. Interesting eh?
Day 1: We did canoeing all the way from Kallang to the Gay Beach at Fort Road (ECP), and my oh my .. I would not call it a Gay Beach, it's more like a Disgusting Beach with the amount of pollution along the shoreline... yucks! Tat rounded up day 1!

Day 2... we did windsurfing in the morning.. and yea.. it was fun but super tough la to get the wind n being able to surf.. but somehow i managed to do those little 4-5 seconds surf.. not bad not bad... ANd we had this interesting game "Gladiator on the seas"... SO a pair of us had to stand on the surf board, one each and using some 'weapon' , we muz knock each other off the board! BUt I sustained some injuries of cuts n bruises frm this.. but it's alrite.. it's fun!

Afternoon: We did the most worthwhile Sport! Yea.. tat's wakeboarding! I SUCK at it at first.. topple over, and stuff.. looked like a clown, but when I went down a 2nd time, I DID IT! I waked for a long distance and even managed to keep standing despite the waves coming in and the boat doin U-turns! Kewl eh?

Day 3: Sailing... this is relatively much easier compared to u know.. wakeboarding or windsurfing.. but i's kinda boring and the boom keeps hitting u...

SUpposed to join my grp for frisbee after sailing but b'coz I've got yet another camp to go to... yea.. tat's rite: Reservist Camp for some sort of briefing so I'd to leave early... ANd it's good to catch up with the pple... it has been fun I guess... but when u tink abt the upcoming things to do.. it's kinda sianzzzzzzzz!

Next week, more prep for Arts Camp!

It's going to be fun!

3rd June 1982 --> a Glorious star was born! ME!

Bobby means to be worthy of highest honour and glory!

And celebration begun a whole week ago.

28th May: Met up with some of the guys whom I knew via O-week and we had the celebration of 3 - Weixin's birthday (30th May), mine (3rd Jun) and Clement's (4th Jun)...

So we went to have some Turkish dinner which was totally SUCKY! But oh well, it's the company...

29th May: Had my 1st birthday treat! Met Esther and Kenneth for dinner at Outback and I tell u the food was superb! And it was on Esther as a b-dae gift! Thnxs Est! Tat was wonderful dinner n fellaship!

30th May: Was the 6th person at 12:06am to wish Xin a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

31st May: Met Joy, Xin, Jonny and Jennifer for belated celebration for Xin and pre-birthday celebration for me! So nice, the company... so I got a nice rip curl t-shirt frm them and xin had a rip curl bag! Enjoy it dudes! Superb! I juz casually mentioned tat I nid clothes n tata! I got one!

1st Jun: I had tuition and my kids were really sweet... They got me chocolates which they put into some containers which was self designed... *applause* for the wonderfull efforts!

2nd Jun: I met Xin at Suntec outside Carrefour.. Now can anyone guess wad I met Xin for? It aint any secret meeeting.. haha

I met her to buy ingredients to bake a cheesecake...

Cant believe it.. so pathetic tat I m baking my own birthday cake but it turned out to be fine fine fine!

At nite, I attended cell grp and tat's the most shocking gift I got!

Those who know, knows that I've a backpack which is torn so I was voicing aloud tat I nid a bag.. So my dear members got me this HUGE BIG BLACK 'TRAVELLING' Bag! So i was like, wow! This is a huge bag! It was only after a while, Wendy asked "U really tink this is wad we got u?" Then I was staring at her like I've nvr seen her.. then Jeff said "hahaha! This is actually the new army Ali baba bag!" I was like WAD?! Thnxs to dear Billy who's a regular that has tons of emart credits...

So they asked me to go hunt for my present, so I did and I finally found it after much exasperated clues and hints, a nice red bag in a nice paper bag on top of the cupboard! And the new duffer bag is still for me.. so I had to lug it home n they were tellin me tat they wanted to give it to me on sunday after svc with stones in the bag.. wad a devious plot..

3rd June: THE ACTUAL DAY! HAPPPPPpPPPppY BIRTHDAY! A big thanks to all those who bothered taking the efforts to keep track of the time n sent me sms-es when the clock struck 12!

So I met Matt for lunch at Paragon - Thai Express.. I'd wanted to give him a treat since it was my birthday and I was feelin generous.. but of cuz knowing Matt, he insisted on going dutch so fine! I save some money too...

So I met Sheng at 4.10 at Chinatown.. said he's going to bring me to some bicycle shop to look ard for bikes.. after the educational trip to the bike shop, we went city link's flash and splash n he said "Choose wadever berms u want.. tat will be yr gift!" Then I was like ok... saw a nice pair, wanted to get but of cuz as usual.. no size.. so the shop ppl called other branches and realised that there's my size over at the branch in Paragon, so Sheng told them to reserve it and he flew there with me... awwww... so sweeet...

Gotten the nice berms, were on our way to suntect... meetin Gina and ah Tso for dinner at Tony Roma.. the ribs r WOW! and the onion loaf too... oh yes.. french onion soup!

Kopibean thereafter on my treat!

4th June: It has been a wonderful week and tdy is wonderful! I went to meeti Lihui after tuition who generously treated me to a sumptious sushi teh meal.. tat muz have cost a BOMB! Anyway thxs a lot!

5th June: Supposed to meet Kenneth n Esther n Ivan for birthday treat but something cropped up so I guess will have to postpone it!

SO a very BIG THANK U guys, every single one of u .. for yr little surprises, gifts and planning stuff for me.. I feel very much appreciated! Really, I do.. it has been an honour! :)

I m excited.. even though I m getting Old n hitting my mid 20s.. I m excited abt wad's abt to happen during my 23rd year as a human!
