Sometimes things just fall into places when u juz look to God..

On frenz and freshies!

Certain things are one time thing...

For example, virginity is a one time thing. Once u lose it, u may remain pure and abstain from sex for your next 25 years till cobwebs fill u and tat u feel almost like a virgin again but u still aint virgin...

Likewise, sometimes as friends, we know tat we r and will remain good frenz as such coz there's such a connection and chemistry between pple. Yet, when certain things happen, the bond still remains but perhaps u come to realise tat self-reliance is still the best way..

Earlier, Mary asked what does it mean to be in love and Mish said it's about wanting to sacrifice. And it is true, whatever form love may take, frenship, kinship, romantic love etc.

Now as I sit here, I am truly thankful to people like Mary who has kindly agreed to help me with my T-hse singlet designs, all my OGLs, Caleb, Leanna, Alex and Qianfu for sacrificing their time and energy helping me with the OG admin. To Carol and JJ for hearing me out in my fits of distress and JJ again for volunteering to help me plan my 'mini bike-quest'. And to Leon who despite yr enormous amount of stuff to do for o-week publicity as well as S house stuff, agreed to help me with my lanyard! And of course, my lovely Yenghong who despite not being hse ic this time round is a valuable source of outlet and discussion! :)

Last but not least, a great thanks to all my freshies who showed a great deal of spirit during the chalet and tat was truly encouraging and all the more when a lot of guys dropped me little smses after the chalet!

So Im cool! Let's chill!

Great Joy & Disappointment

T hse chalet ROCKS!

I mean the guys had great fun all the way till like 6+ in the morning when quite a number of them left!

But all in all, it was AWESOME! WOW! and more than half my hse councillors turn up!

On the other hand, I was quite disappointed in the day time and this got worst at nite due to some shocking and unforeseen actions.

The last time I was so angry that I quivered and trembled in rage was like dono how long ago! I cld still remember trembling in rage when I spoke to Carol and Yenghong last nite! Gosh...

ANd my oh my, do I not hate cliques! Hmm.. looks like I may have to make adjustments.. sighz..

Sux!

It sucks to have not enough sleep and a damn painful gum/tooth/teeth issue and then u have to look for ppl to help u with the chalet and receiving none..

It sux!

The amazing thing is how sometimes it seems tat I have more support from pple whom I am not as close to than pple whom I tot I m closer to..

Oh wells.. the mechanism of life!

Seafood Outing

Great! I tink the whole world is getting more and more ATAS! I had dinner with some of the FUnis guys, XIn, JOy, Jonny at "NO SIGNBOARD" Seafood restaurant on Thursday! Yes, that's like how atas!

Arts Camp 2006 was the last time I am going to be house ic or so I thought. O-week asked me to be house ic also. I agreed after much hesitation on 2 accounts:

Networking

There are people who loves to do networking, to know many ppl of the world. Influence, powers, status: the very elements to pave the way for future glory and demeanour. Every undergraduate should, at least in theory to do social networking to enhance their chances and standing in society, to increase chances for better opportunities. Such is the reality of the undergraduate! Such is the reality of being here in Singapore!

Then I tink there is something really wrong with me! I dislike all these. They bore me real bad! And can networking really get me far up w/o credentials? Maybe it's because I come from a family whereby I can easily get a good job via networks from y uncles who are relatively influential in their own sphere of specialisations in the secular world. Or maybe it's because I do not want to step out of my comfort zone. I dono but even when I tink it through with rationality, I still am not convinced that it brings me marvellous benefits.

Juz gone through soci camp and saw how 2 young ladies, CHarz and Swi brought the camp to its heights with their planning and running the show. Passion, hard work, sweat and tears is wad it took. One of my closest relative's my 2nd uncle. Failed O lvls twice, F9 for E.Maths, went to private JC, screwed it up then go army. Poly education after army and so by the time he graduates, he was already in his later 20s. Today, he commands 5 digit salary and it's not in the 10K but the 20s. He is appointed as a prof with engr. Social networks he had none, so is the case with my 3rd uncle. Yet, they possibly command a enormously great wage.

Btw, I m not saying social networking is lousy, just that I dun understand why some place tat much emphasis on it.

Wad can I sAy? It's over! Gosh, how time flies... I cld still remember my councillors and a lot of the o-comm guys being my freshies juz months back... those memories still stuck strong in my head.

This is my 3rd Arts cAmP and many of e programmes and game play remain pretty much the same. But the experience I carry away with is vastly different year in year out. My 1st ARts Camp was like.. I was a freshie so more like getting to know frenz etc. And frankly, I did not have a good time when I was in yr 1 in both arts camp and o-week except for the fact tat I met wonderful darlings who might not have made awesome 'cheerers' but nonetheless wonderful frenz who have stick it out with me thru the years, Joy, Weixin, Jonny, Caleb and my councillors, Jennifer, Ant.

My 2nd arts camp was just magical. I dono if it's because tat was e first time leading a house as house ic tat I felt all the excitement or was it juzt 'magical'. I cld still see my freshies like Yenhong, Petrina, Shawn, Edwin, Ben, XIaoyan, Brandon, Reuben, Eileen, Meiyi, Cai Hui, Jennifer, AH BEng, Hui QIn, Samantha(s), Ernest, Wenhui, Hong Ting, and many many others and all my beloved OGLs, AOs and councillors like Caleb, Joy, Jonny, Nuredah (tink I spelt it wrong), James, KoKo, KarKeng, Zonghan amongst many others. And of coz not forgetting my beloved partner Sylvia!

I can still see the vivid memories of sentosa last yr. Sentosa was the "Trottus" Day where Tragon won every single beach games, where every single guy, freshies or councillors juz got into the waters and where the house juz "Shageli" throughout the entire day... in the waters and out of it!

This yr is once again a different experience. Someone asked another house ic if being house ic is fun. He said it's not... being house ic is being doin work. I tink being house ic is fun if at house lvl the house goess all 'rara' and everything and my house this yr is a little lacking in tat and I was really quite demoralised initially but at sentosa, I realised something, it's really not juz abt rara-ing but for the guys, the OGs to bond and I cld see it in them. Tekka is full of crap when they get together and tok and I cld see the OG being well blended! Tabola is there! Tekila under Xiaoyan has bonded so well tat they had so many things to write to each other. Almost 3 hours was spent trying to write the paper plates! And Tila, wad can I say? I've got a much of 'crazy' councillors there and it hits the freshies and they've gone all crazy too.. haha!

And here, I muz really thank my OGLs, AOs and councillors esp Caleb, Jonny, Brandon, Kenneth, Petrina, TY, Alison, Ziyong, Xiaoyan, Junming and others who have helped me to hold the fort and my dearest Yenhong whom arts camp wld have been a different experience without you!!!

And of coz Layz, Di, JJ for all the wonderful jobs! And oh, one thing tat boosted my moral in this camp was tat of my councillors esp. those who were my freshies last yr, I cld see their unwaivering support and I was really touched. Jennifer, HQ, Wenhui, Brandon, Sam, Yenhong, Petrina, Xiaoyan, Hongting and others! Tat was W O W! U guys lit up my days! Mary, Charz, Ginaz, u guys had a hand at this too! :)And not 4getting my BUD, Ivan Chen who has usual seduced many many!!! :) And Brozzzzzz, Chong Han, thanks for e little gestures! Haha! And my gosh, how can I forget to mention HOCKY n Sining who's little sms-es encouraged me a lot a lot a lot!!!

I said this b4 and I m sayin it again..

I am smiling b'coz u guys, everyone of u, are my frens and I m laughing because there's nothing u can do abt it!!!
